I just want to say thank you for sharing this on the tube. I was sitting in the van today on my break, smokin a cigarette 🚬 and when my break was over I realized that I had burnt a hole in my ol lady's seat between my legs. She is very particular about her new van. I didn't know what to do so I googled the problem. Seen your video, did it and now I get to live another day. Lol, thank you sir!

Great repair. I've had to repair cigarette burn holes and used a different technique. I cut a piece of fabric from under the seat (exact match) and glued it into the hole. Not perfect, but looks a heck of a lot better

Thank you so much!! I never even thought of that, I have quite a few burn holes in my door panel on the passenger side!! I tell everybody that asks if they can smoke in my car I say as long as you're careful, and they always say they will be. But it never fails that every time they go to put the window down they end up having their cigarette in the hand putting the window down with and the cigarette hits the microfiber on the panel. I never really liked the fact that it had microfiber door panels and it gets dirty or gets a mark on it so easily. My car looks really nice until look at the door panel and have been thinking of a way could have it reupholstered or some way to fix it that doesn't cost so much. Some of the marks are just little indents that was able to cover up easy

Missed a 3mm burn mark on the driver's side seat on the inspection go-round prior to the purchase of a late-model used Civic. Was bummed when I found it afterwards. Contemplated having the dealer take a look at it until I saw this and gave it a try. Even I can't find it any more. Knew the "fabric repair kits were out on the market" but also realized there was no way in hell they'd ever come close in color or texture. Truly one of those moments after I watched this.

Hi, I need to repair a a burn fast. Two questions there are parts of the video that skipped it seem like it was valuable information that was lost and most importantly, what kind of glue do you use? Thank you.

Thanks, I will try this with Aquadhere, a popular Aussie PVA wood glue, that also works with fabric. Its white liquid but dries clear.

Does this work with those seats you get in vans. Sort of synthetic material?
