I'm trying to help a sick colony cat. (Disclaimer: I'm not a vet or vet tech. I'm working under the guidance of a cat rescue and doing my own research.)

I'm happy to hear Jack seems to be doing a little better. I do see improvement in the eyes, nose, and coat too. Hopefully the new meds you will be giving him will help him continue to get better. I do believe he loves and trusts what you do for him, and is why he's staying so close. Love how he throws himself down and does the roll!🤣🤣🤣How can anyone not love Jack after seeing that!🤗😻❤

Great update. You are doing all the things I would do as a colony caretaker. Sometimes you just have to prioritize in life, and I think maybe anyone that was skeptical earlier misunderstood that. It happens. I know you have had Jack's best interest in mind, and are fantastic with him. If he thought you didn't care or wouldn't help - he would have moved on. Cats are smart enough and have senses that tell them where to get help if any is available. They won't stick around people that rebuff them. He clearly trusts you and likes you.

Well Wanda, there’s already a huge difference in Jack! His eyes and nose look great and that coat has a nice sheen to it. He’s back on the road to health when the coat comes back in my experience. I think all the things you’ve come up with are perfect. My only suggestion would be no gravy foods for him. Absolutely none. Stick with the pate’s and dry. With the upset stomach, gravy will not help.
So great to get an update today and to see you. Sorry it was on replay but i caught it 🙌❤

Well, well Wanda, you sure did miss out there. If Fury's brother is anything like him, he sure would be a special one😻😻😻But perhaps best that you did not keep his brother, because it would only give my luvver 2x the amount of insults she would be dishing out🙄Would love to see you post a pic up of Fury's brother😻
I use dronspot for worming Snowy as he won't accept any liquids or granules, so I just put the dronspot pipette on his neck. It covers tape worms, hook worms and roundworms. Think the only one it doesn't cover is lung worm.
You have got loads of stuff there Wanda for Jack. 🤞It sorts him out. It is all going to do him good anyway. Jack has huge long whiskers, he certainly won't get stuck in any tight spaces if it is true they use their whiskers to judge if they can pass through certain sized spaces😂😂😂

I hope Jack feels better soon! We used a little plain canned pumpkin mixed in wet food for diarrhea or constipation. It can right both. Some kitties won't eat it and some will.
Thanks for the update! 😸❤

Hi Wanda, I've had recent experience with cat food allergies (Ruby, pulls her hair out) and past hx with loose poops on an FIV+ cat (Carnelia). Ruby was on rachel ray salmon and chicken food at her rescue home. I kept her on it and started feeding her wet Sheba salmon and tuna, hair pulling worsened. I switched to sheba chicken and turkey, and hair pulling worsened. Turns out fish food had chicken and chick/turk had salmon oil so i stopped both. She worsened again with 2 diff chicken treats that had no fish. Pet store told me chicken is a common allergy! I have her on Limited Ingredient Nulo cod and symptoms are decreasing! If improvements continue I'll try other foods. She is currently eating Tiki wet pates with no fish or chicken.

Carnelia was FIV+, started having loose poops that got better with probiotics but worsened again. After 2 months (of trying different things) she started pooping blood (sorry Dawn, I misstated this in an email) and got better with abx (diverticulitis) but they found a tumor at the junction of the large intestine to small intestine. Because the surgery was astronomically expensive and recovery difficult (her recovery from an external wound was long and difficult) (ironically my human friend had the same surgery and is still suffering after a horrible recovery) I let her go. It was extremely sad but I knew I was trying to keep her alive because I didn't want to give up or let go. She had a beautiful, safe life in my home for a few years, we were both lucky.
My point is that loose poops can be sooo many things. For Cosmos, with wet green poops, one injection resolved it.
