Widow of Humboldt Broncos crash victim forgives truck driver

Christina Haugan has offered forgiveness to Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the truck driver who pleaded guilty to 29 counts of dangerous driving that resulted in fatal crash involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus, including the death of her husband, and team coach, Darcy Haugan.

I find it hard to believe people are being so harsh with this guy. This was an ACCIDENT. Every one of us that gets behind the wheel runs the risk that we may at any time make a mistake resulting in someones death. We either take the risk or let someone else drive us and take the same risk. I'm sure everyone that drives has at one time or another accidentally gone through a stop sign or red light or turned in front of oncoming traffic or changed lanes without checking the blind spot. Ten years in prison???? Unbelievable! He shouldn't even get a ticket.
