As a service industry employee, I can tell you that the reason why you don't get good customer service anymore is because the general population is so comfortable abusing customer service personel that we are always ready for the most horrific outcome possible in every interaction. Long time ago a doctor prescribed me sleeping pills to help with insomnia. I took triple dose and still wasn't able to sleep for a couple days. I also don't drink any caffeinated beverages or other stimulants.

As someone with Swedish and Norwegian friends I understand what she's saying. The first time I met them I thought they were American, I was surprised because when they spoke English it was with an American accent. Even if their vocabulary wasnt fluent. However, when I hear people speak English from like France or Germany there's still hints that they are obviously from somewhere else. It's like meeting students who went to international schools and those who didn't. The international school students always sound American.

norway and fellow Scandinavian countries handel english easier than other nations cause most of their languages branch closely with english forefathers tongues.
hence why there are more english speakers in sweden than canada.
