The narrative that Jokic is awful defensively is both baffling and hilarious. Virtually every value measuring defensive stat (DWS, DBPM, etc...) says that he's quite good. Now I'm not one of the guys who says that he's better than the other three on this list defensively, but it's much closer than this dude makes it out to be. Also, Jokic's offensive game and efficiency is really unmatched, he'll get you 25-30 a night, and averaged more rebounds and assists than everyone else on this list. Jokic makes everyone around him better in a way that none of these other guys do (Giannis gets close) and cutting him was such a disrespectful take.

That's a very primitive way of thinking about the game tbh... Overall it depends on what do you want to do with these players. If you want to build a championship level team around only one of these superstars and you have to cut one of them then it's pretty easy... I cut AD. If I'm thinking about stars who can play with each other then I cut Embiid or Giannis. Jokic is redifining the center position with all-time level playmaking skills combined with elite shooting and unstoppable post moves, and his off-ball game makes me think he can adapt himself to different schemes succesfully and play with other stars. For example, I can envision Jokic leading a championship level offense with AD anchoring the defense. That would be an unstoppable team.

Jokic is bad on defense only if you look at rimprotection. On top of that, Denvers guards get blown by regularly. The other 3 guys for that matter have the advantage of being switchable, while jokic has to guard a 5. However, his defense is not as bad as people make it out to be. If you dont watch the games and only the stats, how can you draw conclusion? Just statwise, Id never take Embiid over any of these guys, cause hes the most inefficient shooter, but if u watch the games, you see how much attention he demands, which balances that out. Too many casuals trying to make their opinion matter, when all they know is boxscores and games televised by TNT or ESPN :))

All players above are A+ players, but for my team you gotta cut Embiid. Let’s assume that the 3 players left are on a team together, and fill out the rest of the roster with shooting and defense, I got;

1. Giannis - dominant interior force on offense + dominant rim protector on defense

2. Anthony Davis - Dominant force on the perimeter + excellent perimeter defense

3. Jokic - Best Shooter/ Play maker of the bunch, runs the offense, facilitates the whole team.

If you have all 4 they don’t all need to be good at defense and Jokic IS the most well rounded and unique of the 4 so I would cut Embid who in my opinion is a worse Giannas and worse AD

Jokic ranks 3rd in defensive win shares. 5th in steals. 6th in rebounds & defensive box +/-.
He is not a bad defender. Secondly, AD & Giannis are forwards not centers & have different tasks.
Finally; Jokic is THE ONLY PLAYER HERE & ONLY ALL STAR NOT TO MISS A SINGLE GAME.
Sure Embiid makes more glamorous blocks but he also gets injured all yhe time. Same goes for AD.
Whats the point of making 2 blocks and then missing 10 games. Afterall; today's NBA is am pffensive league
