US-Soviet Union ambassador ignored Warning on Russia-Ukraine crisis, Jack Matlock

Jack Matlock, gave the talk on 15 June 2015 at the University of Edinburgh.
In the Lecture, Jack Matlock suggests that western policies exacerbated Ukraine's internal problems and estranged Russia.

Jack Foust Matlock Jr. is an American former ambassador, career Foreign Service Officer, a teacher, a historian, and a linguist. He was a specialist in Soviet affairs during some of the most tumultuous years of the Cold War and served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1987 to 1991.

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022, marking a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014 following the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity.
