Army rebukes Trump campaign over Arlington cemetery photo op that led to altercation

The US Army issued a blistering statement Thursday that rebuked the Trump campaign for having flouted federal laws to pose for a photo with Gold Star families at Arlington National Cemetery — leading to a physical altercation between campaign staff and a cemetery employee. NY Post Politics Reporter Josh Christenson shares this story.

“Participants in the August 26th ceremony and the subsequent Section 60 visit were made aware of federal laws, Army regulations and DoD policies, which clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds,” an Army spokesperson said in a statement Thursday.

“An ANC employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside,” the spokesperson added.

This simply does not compare to the gargantuan levels of incompetence that caused the battlefield disaster and collapse of Afghanistan; nobody was even reprimanded or held accountable for totally preventable failures and the absolutely unnecessary deaths of the soldiers at the heart of this story. Abandoning Bagram Airbase was total ineptitude by senior leaders and political appointees. And don't expect our pathetic regime media to interview the families of the lost in this story; they are the only opinions that matter here.

Nope he didn't do a single act that was illegal. A private citizen went to an event he was invited to by the families. The media followed him in under their own volition. That's why no charges were filed. 😂
