Plovdiv is amazing. Officially the oldest city in Europe, situated at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, it is like a textbook in history. I love it.

Hey, great video about my hometown. Glad you were able to visit and enjoy. The military gathering, I believe it was the independence day celebration from the Ottoman Empire. Bulgaria was divated on two main parts by the time -southern and northern. The northern part became independent earlier then the southern. Southern Bulgaria became independent in 1885 and this is the time North and south got reunited.

There is another cool place to visit in Bulgaria called Belogradchik...it is AMAZING...there is a fortress, which is surrounded by huge, strange-shaped rocks, to climb up to....caves and a castle, too...it all looks like something out of Dr. Suess.
