i'd say im about 3 months in and a milestone i recently noticed i passed is that im actively trying to read hiragana and katakana. im fairly confident with all if not most characters but i dont know what im saying. Deepl, google translate, FSI courses, and genki are helping me tremendously.

i havent really tried immersion yet because i feel if i can read it first, hearing it(especially pronounced the right way) will help.
