It's ridiculous how often teams want to change facilities and have taxpayers pay for it. Cleveland is a city of like 350, 000 people (with more in the metro area). It's not like they have a spare $1B. And cost overruns are common. Sofi cost was like $5B.

Do a modern take on the old municipal stadium. Make it a nostalgic, classic design with modern amenities. None of this sleek waterfall Vegas shit or some postmodernist abomination like Mercedes-Benz Stadium that looks completely out of place (see:Rock n Roll Hall of Fame). This is Cleveland make it reflect that. The worst thing about the current stadium is that it's bland. Theres nothing that distinguishes it at all.

The current stadium by itself is functional and can “get by”, but the location and ease of access are very poor in my opinion considering all factors desired in venues like this. In a perfect world, a new stadium would be constructed on a new site. I live in Cuyahoga County and say “think big” with more of a regional approach. I don’t think it’s fair for only the city of Cleveland to foot the bill to fund a portion of it. That will severely limit what can be done. There needs to be a multi-county, NE Ohio regional tax created for a big, proper design to be completed. Get creative and figure it out! Don't think Cleveland goes with a full roof. I think they do a Bills design. The costs outweigh the benefits if you are not going to be in the SB rotation and I doubt Cleveland is a place the NFL wants to host a SB ever 5 or 10 years.
