Clearly designed as a fisherman's tool. For extracting the hook out of a fish's mouth. Trimming line. Removing ticks while outside all day fishing. Very small, lightweight, and convenient. No need for a magnetic bit-holder.

Not a bad little multi tool, definitely a more specific tool for maybe fishing like you said. Especially the pliers being just a needle nose tip with cutters, and no grip for nuts and bolts, etc. not bad for a minimalist tool for specific use. 👍🏻

I’m glad it doesn’t have the word Power in the name. It appears to be a nice light weight multi tool to fit in your pocket when you don’t expect you will be rebuilding an engine or constructing a house. I would buy it if it was available in Canada.

I've been hemming and hawing over this one for a bit now. I'm currently carrying a Leatherman curl that I've put an S30V charge blade on. But it's kind of heavy considering I rarely, if ever, use any of the tools on it. The aegis to me seems like an acceptable ultralight multi tool for someone like me who really has no need for a big clunky multi tool but likes to be prepared. This tool to me is about the closest thing to the knipex cobra xs in multi tool form. I think carrying this with the Big Idea Design keychain screwdriver bit would make an adequate ultralight EDC for my needs.

Like the idea of light weight folding pliers with some added features, should make a great companion tool. But it would have been a much more interesting and useful tool with the bit holder and a the usual combination pliers head.
I do fish, so might get one anyway and try it for that, but overall it seems like a missed opportunity to grab a big slice of the Juice sized vacuum we currently have in the MT market.

On the bottle cap lifter with the 7IIL ratchet work with it or the Leatherman bits extension and ratchet? It is kinda limited on functionality with the lack of tools and size.

This seems like a fishing tool . I’d say fly fishing is my guess. Nice review, I’m gonna have to pass on that one nothing I need. I like a saw and a bit driver on my multi tool I’m a outdoor person. But usually fishing is what brought me outdoors and camping.

We've got a Nextool that has similarity with the Aegis & yeah we use it for fishing & camping. It works very well & it's affordable for us blue collar folks. Cheers mate.

I hope I can get it somehow in Spain, looks perfect complement for my knipex plier wrench and my mini ratchet, good cutters and needle nose pliers, complements the other two tools perfectly
