On the subject of sustainable food procurement, the grain silo was not built until 1873. It was in IL. It was in direct relation to the development of the Chicago stockyards, the commodity exchanges in Chicago, large scale industrialization and capitalism and the depopulation of the buffalo and native Americans as it was all connected to cattle production. Before this people did not eat nearly as much grain as they do today. They only had small amounts of grain and they worked hard to raise and harvest it by hand. I am prediabetic so I may be biased in my perspective but what I have stated here is true. So something else you may consider is to only eat grain that you raise yourself with hand tools. I am sure that this sounds very radical and it is not likely you will do it but I am just putting the idea out there to think about. You can always raise grapes for wine and lots of fresh water so it is not necessary to sit around like a bunch of monks conjuring up low alcohol content beverages like beer.

thank you very much guys for all the wisdom you're sharing. Allow me to ask a question here that might not be directly related with the subject in matter. I've look around in your website and videos but I couldn't find an answer. Are you registered as a Trust, as a fundation or anything else? I wonder what do you in order to protect the community's assets.
