I'm hoping by digital, he means not only digital effects, but digital control of analog effects, such as an all analog overdrive where you can store presets for the controls, including Drive, Volume, Treble, Bass, etc. This would make the pedals very versatile for matching different pickups and guitars, or switching from rhythm to lead tones and different genres.
