In all religions, and in all ideologies (because all religions are ideologies and all ideologies are religions) there is the notion that deeds don't matter. Unpacked, your good deeds don't matter compared to your faith, but your faith doesn't matter compared to your bad deeds.

The man she discussed, Jason, has really turned around his life, met with his victim, and sounds like he's got straight from the experience. Unfortunately, he's still in prison so...not exactly sure what she meant when she said 'just got out'. His parole was denied for 3 years in July, 17. He'll have another shot next month and I hope he gets it.
