Oh, wow. Much bigger repair than I had thought! Lots of damage!

That thyristor is part of a crowbar circuit deigned to short out and blow the fuse if the input voltage it too high. The mains cable may have been cut to prevent the unit from being used on 220V / 240V.

Cool. Be aware you may have to replace the internal battery. My Japanese FZ-10 needs that!
