Review: 2023 Lexus RX - All 4 Versions Compared and Driven!

The 2023 Lexus RX is all-new and has lots of big changes, including 4 new engine setups! In this video I sample all of them, starting with the RX 350 F Sport Handling, moving up to the RX 500h F Sport Performance with a brief stint in the RX 450h+ and lastly finished up in the RX 350h. Overall, they each have different strengths, but they all share great improvements in handling, plus a big leap in technology. They're not perfect but overall the 2023 RX is hugely improved and makes the Lexus RX more compelling than ever. What do you think about the new Lexus RX? Thanks to Lexus for providing this opportunity!

The old RX hybrid with the V6 is going to become gold and hard to find.

I like this style of video. I know it's not always ideal but seeing different trim levels is great since not everyone goes for a fully loaded vehicle. Great video Matt!

I'm 66 with a bad knee, but once I saw a still image of the 2023 model and heard it was going to be a four-cylinder turbo, I didn't walk to my dealership I ran to it. To my surprise I got a 2K discount off MSRP, 2022 premium pckg, mica/bk, 20" wheels, 12" screen, OK, OK i better stop now because it sounds like I'm bragging. But gripping the walnut wheel and looking at my new interior, will make my next 15 yrs a pleasure to drive. Good luck all.

RX 500h sounds great to me. I bought MDX 2022 Aspec for my wife since we cannot wait for type S to come out. I am about to replace my RDX but then MPG of MDX type S is not good so and decided to wait for new RX or TX. Also looking into BMW X5/X7, Porches Cayenne, Mercedes GLE/GLS but not sure about their reliability since I usually keep my car around 10 years. After watching the review, I think I will go with RX 500h. It is good balance between reliability, MPG, power train, driving dynamic and handling, at least to me in that order...

I would always prefer a V6 with less torque than some run of it he mill turbo 4.

Nice review!

Can you cover weight distribution and torque distribution next time? Very important performance metrics.

Great review, but I suggest next time devote most of the reviewing to the more popular bought Trim. Simple just start from the bottom to the top of the different trim.

German build quality superior to Lexus? You can't be serious. Lexus is regularly at the top of the JD Power Survey every year for the past 2 decades while Merc, BMW and Audi are usually in the bottom half every year.

10:07 seconds, what's that big hole above the gas pedal?

Very sad for the 2023 . Lexus just ruined a nice vehicle by putting a 4 cylinder in it . We just bought our last RX .

If I had to have 1 gripe about the design, it’s definitely the front hood bulge, somehow it still looks good from every angle though

No thanks. The cost of regular is high enough without having to go to premium with the turbo4s

Lexus was being lazy here in making the RX hybrid with such lackluster power out put the same has the Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the RAV4 hybrid .
