The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid, the latest iteration of Lexus's bestselling model, marks a significant shift from its predecessors. Wow. That Lexus RX is painted in a SWEET green!

A very honest review. However, it’s built for a different demographic. I’m 61 and it goes definitely fast enough for me. I get nearly 40 miles to a gallon around town. I plan to keep the car for 10 to 15 years. Think it’s well worth it. Love my car!

The 350h doesn't require premium fuel, should have checked the fuel cap. The 500h and the 350 turbo-4 do require premium though.

This car is all about refinement and it makes it’s German rivals look crass and uncouth. It doesn’t need to go fast or be loud as that is the opposite of what it’s all about. It’s not for everyone, it’s for actual posh people who wouldn’t dream of trying to intimidate anyone by buying a snarling GLE with massive rims.

Fully agree with your verdict. New RX too expensive too cheap. Lexus new generation models starting from 22 NX (which I own one) are not nothing like Lexuses of the past. Cheap materials are used throughout, all kind of rattles and squeaks present in the cabin and engine noise is the worst. I agree that the fuel economy is amazing but why would one buy this expensive SUV instead of say a German luxury? Ok some are going to argue the reliability but if you have that kind money it shouldn’t matter.

Speaking of appliances, Cliff what happen to your shirt? It looks like it needs an appointment with a HD Iron with steamer. In terms of noise, I have to disagree. Mercedes for decades knows how to encapsulate their diesels and 4-cylinder engines to make them quieter (something Toyota does poorly). Lexus does a great job of tuning out wind/road noise at normal speeds however at high speeds, the Germans design their cars for autobahn-level speeds.

Which trim of the hybrid did you have? Or do they offer the luxury trim with the hybrid? Because I thought you got real leather with the luxury trim? Though I doubt the wood will look any better.

Lexus Rx is overpriced in Australia. Lexus needs to up its value proposition and tech. Genesis has better quality interior and tech. At this rate, the Chinese and Korean brands will take over Lexus traditional market.

Green SUV😂 Step 1, make vehicle really heavy. Step 2, large tyres to create lots of roll resistance. Step 3, make the vehicle really large so it's as aerodynamic as a shed. Step 4, as it's so large it uses more raw materials to make, maintenance and run.

Cliff, this has to be one of the worst luxury SUVs in the class tied with the xt6 qx50 qx55. There is no recommendable RX no matter how you swing it.

I think you know exactly why this suv is not very competitive and I don’t have to go into detail as to why. A dressed up rav4 is not, I repeat NOT, luxury

If you want a real luxury suv, go Mazda Genesis Volvo Hyundai Kia acura Lincoln. Those are real luxury cars with no indication of you driving a cheaper economy car
