Track 9 from their fifth album “Draw the Line” released in 1977 copyright Columbia Records. The success of their last two albums had catapulted the band to stardom and they readily embraced an excessive rock star lifestyle. In an effort to isolate them from drugs and other influences, and in the height of irony, the sessions were recorded at an abandoned convent near New York City. However, the drugs flowed freely in the three-hundred room complex. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry would later become known as “The Toxic Twins” for their rampant heroin addictions and were largely disinterested in the writing and recording process. This resulted in delays and uninspired material. The rest of the band and producer Jack Douglas stepped up and contributed half of the songs on the album. Reviews at the time were disappointing but the album has gained more respect over time. The album achieved Platinum status within a month of its release and was awarded 2X Platinum in 1996. It reached No. 10 in Canada and No. 11 on the Billboard chart. Written by Kokomo Arnold and produced by Jack Douglas, Aerosmith, David Krebs & Steve Leber. Featuring:

Steven Tyler – Lead vocals, harmonica & background vocals, piano on “Kings and Queens”
Joe Perry – Slide, lead & rhythm guitars & background vocals, lead vocal on “Bright Light Fright”
Brad Whitford – Lead & rhythm guitars
Tom Hamilton – Bass
Joey Kramer – Drums & percussion
Special guests:
Stan Bronstein – Sax on “I Wanna Know Why” & “Bright Light Fright”
Scott Cushnie – Piano on “I Wanna Know Why” & “Critical Mass”
Karen Lawrence – Background vocals on “Get It Up”
Jack Douglas – Mandolin on “Kings and Queens”
Paul Prestopino – Acoustic & banjo guitars on “Kings and Queens”

Well, I tried everything just to get along with you
And I'm gonna tell you just what I'm gonna do
Well, I'm sick of all your cryin' when you should be leavin' me alone
If you don't believe me, you pack my bag, I'm gone

Wontcha please, don't that sun look good goin' down?
You run the risk of love girl when your old man ain't around

(Wontcha please) don't that (sun look good goin' down?)
(Won't you please) don't that (sun look good goin' down?)
(Well, you best believe that I love ya, baby) when your (old man ain't around)

New dance

Go

Wontcha please, don't that sun (sun) look (look) good (good) goin' down?
Won't you please, woo, don't that sun look good goin' down?
Well, you best believe that I love ya baby when your old man ain't around
And around and around and around and around
And around and 'round and 'round and round and
Round and round

1977 Draw the Line, Kings and Queens, and Milk Cow Blues were on my mix tapes way back in the Jurassic age when I was a kid in Jr. High School. Recorded directly off the vinyl. Over the top stuff! But after this they went completely off my radar screen until 1987 with Permanent Vacation. 10 YEARS LATER!

But by then I was into Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Ratt, etc. etc. and Permanent Vacation as fantastic as it was sounded like another 70s rock LP. For sure on my playlist but it took a back seat for me against everything else that was going on at the time.

Milk Cow Blues has that...Van Halen / David Lee Roth entertainment vibe...a full year before Van Halen's first album was even released.

Really great sound southern rocker ! Thank you!
Now, have u considered posting Jimi Hendrix Isle of Wight ( polydor) import. Extremely difficult to listen to unless u have a turntable, as the Brits seem to have(thankfully) exclusive rights to that incredible sounding conglomerate of six tracks. To my knowledge, it’s the only recording of these versions-midnight lightning, foxy lady and lover man are available. Absolutely amazing recording. I would bet you’ve heard it. I lost all my records in a fire way back. I don’t know anyone with a turntable. Lol.

This album sucks after rocking to their first 4 studio albums. Their best song on here is mediocre at best.
