I remember her mentioning Malawi before selling her photo at her show

I bought her Polaroid at one of the LA shows. I initially offered $3, 000. Then she tried to get a higher bid. When there were no other offers she said to me: C'mon, this is for Raising Malawi, it's not for me! Then I pulled out another $1, 000 and she accepted the $4, 000. Then she was very gracious and shook my hand and thanked me for helping her charity. I understand why this moment draws a lot of negative reactions. But some fans perceive this as a tongue-in-cheek moment not to be taken seriously. Also, her showing how much cash she can get out of a man is possibly a commentary on female empowerment- one of the recurring themes of her show. BTW, I was standing behind the guy who broke the record and paid $10, 000 for the Polaroid and it came out blurry. Madonna tried to take another one, but all 3 cameras were either broken or had bad film. I would have felt sorry for him but he sounded very conceited & arrogant and really flaunted his wealth.

I was in one Philadelphia show and yes you’re right. She didn’t mention anything about charity, she was just asking for money and very specifically for 100s bills not even 20s or 50s bills. Which honestly I think that wasn’t nice of her to say.

Lol you listened to opening night audio, I was there and she didn't initially mention it was for charity which is why I didn't like it initially but once I found out it was for charity I understood
