Microsoft AI Explained: Bing Chat vs Copilot vs Copilot For Microsoft 365
Показать описание
In short: this one is an AI Nothing Burger. The hype around the new Microsoft Copilot app in the app store is misplaced. The new app does the same thing as Microsoft's Bing Chat which has been out for a while.
"COPILOT" VS "COPILOT FOR MICROSOFT 365"
Some people are confusing the new "Copilot" app with "Copilot for Office 365"
Microsoft announced "Copilot 365" back on July 18th, 2023 with pricing of 30$ per user only for business Microsoft licenses. It was not just a chatbot but generative AI integrated into Microsoft Office 365.
On November 15, it announced Copilot Studio and Copilot for Teams, Copilot for Word and more....all under its Copilot for Microsoft 365 umbrella.
NEW "COPILOT" HAS SAME FEATURES AS "BING CHAT"
On November 15, Microsoft also renamed Bing Chat to just plain "Copilot". The actual "Copilot" app came out shortly after for Android. But the IOS App didn't show up in the app store until few days ago on Dec 30.
Confusingly, Bing Chat is still available. Even though the November 15 press release says "Beginning today, Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise are becoming Copilot".
All clear? Any Questions?
