Singers are for billionaires who would love a Porsche but can't bare to be "plebian" and spend $200-250, 000, which is clearly not enough to spend for them! For $2.5 million you could get your hands on an amazing continuation car from Aston Martin, or Jaguar. Or get something like a Pagani!

When I hear about 2.5 mil porsches I think it has to be some sort of money laundering scheme

I really love Singer builds, and i have to ultimately agree with Doug here. The problem is that most people don't even think about the price because we can't afford it anyway, but if you actually think about it, they are just asking too much.
If i had 5M in the bank right now, I'm NOT gonna spend half of it on an upgraded old Porsche. Even with how good that upgrade is. It's just smarter to go for a brand new 2024 Porsche model for 1/10th of the price of a Singer.

Why would you think of Singer as anything other than a modded Porsche? I didn't know people thought of them in any other way.

There are mods on a similar level for 300k

I've always thought the same about them without even driving them or even seeing one in person. Singer, Guntherwurks, RUF, and Theon. Even RWB, which isn't much of restomod, it's more of a style thing, which I think look better then the original Porsche's, but there is so many companies that have their hands on an old Porsche and charge an obscene amount of money on them

This supports a great network of vendors.

We should encourage them.

As a technician at singer, I completely agree. Everyone only gets the public image that singer puts out of itself. If everyone knew how badly it was run and how greedy the company was, no one would buy the cars. You’re better off building one yourself than buying one. It would be cheaper and probably better build quality

For 2.5 mil I'm buying a 930 turbo, swapping a twin turbo 4 rotor into it, putting turbofans on it, and the fattest widebody known to humankind

Gunter and Singer are diametrically opposed. They’re both modded Porsches but that’s about it for similarities.

Not enough quirks and features obviously

I’ve been saying this for years!! There’s a million restomodded Porsches out there, some are legit cool builds but way over valued. What would really be cool is that same effort going into a restomodded Jag or Aston and have it stand out

Finally someone speaks up! Restomods are overrated 😎

I don't think the smoking tire is going to let you on their show anymore 😂

I'm with Doug on this. I love the restomod 911s but not for those amounts. Also, for those numbers, I'd much rather order a brand new DB5 from Aston Martin.

As someone who LOVES Guntherwerks, singer, and RUF, there are too many doing the same thing. I will say they all have their niches though and Guntherwerks is putting out some really unique stuff like their speedster.
