My husband and I had a Lord of the Rings wedding. Our DJ dressed as a hobbit, and we had a dragon cake. The photos are incredible, and we will cherish them always. Love you Charlotte!

A cool thing about the blinking in group photos I once saw a photographer do was, he told everybody to close their eyes. He said he would count, and asked everyone to open their eyes when he said "three". That way when he took a series of shots after everyone just opened their eyes, most photos would have everybody looking at the camera and not blinking.

The absolute best photo from my wedding is a candid shot that the photographer got of my daughter showing my grandson (who was 2 at the time) how to use her digital camera. He is 14 now, my daughter passed away in March of 2018… but this photo shows so much love.

Former wedding photographer here. I once had a woman just take over my shooting, even telling the couple how to pose and staying in front of me. At first I was stunned into silence; it was just crazy. Then a bridesmaid walked up and we shut down the 'adjunct' photographer. If I were ever to do weddings again (shudder), I would tell such a woman to GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY. Also, I took multiples of all the important shots so closed eyes were never an issue.

Back in the day of FILM photography, a work friend asked me to take photos at her daughter's wedding. I was a rank amateur, and she knew it, but wanted a back up to the pro just in case. Most of the wedding was indoors with poor lighting. Pro used wrong speed film and setting. None of his pictures were usable. I took about 6 rolls of pictures and they were outstanding. They had a dozen or so enlarged for their home. Not always a bad idea.

We had my husband's best friend officiate our wedding. All of our first kiss photos feature his disembodied head behind us with varying joyful expressions, the guy was so happy for us and it showed. Makes me laugh every time I look at them.

My husband and I did a vow renewal on our 10 year. We hired a photographer to "recreate" our fav pic, a then and now.
Oh. My. God. I wish I could post the pics here. It was hands down the worst picture ever taken of both of us. Kinda like ordering a wedding dress online from china, but the photography version 🤣

My wedding photographers had a hard time with us because we didn't wanted "staged" photos, we wanted them to go around taking pictures as the night progressed... and that bummed them big time, the guys filming on the other hand had a blast, they had almost as much fun as us at our wedding

I started photographing weddings with a new friend. The first couple we shot, neither of us knew well and, I hardly knew her. She's on all fours on the golf course, ass in the air. I decide to get down behind her and take a picture of this 😂 I knew it would either seal our friendship or end it immediately when she was looking through my reel! 😂 We were friends for quite some time! She thankfully found the humor in it!

At my wedding the photographer took a photo of my Dad scooping dog poop off the lawn before we took the posed stuff. We were all standing there laughing and watching. It’s my favourite picture!
