Well chronologically speaking maybe it's great but so far it is definitely beneath Metallica standards. Obviously Dave is not talking about Metallica's new album, which although I'm a lifelong fan of both these bands, Metallica hasn't put out anything noteworthy since Death Magnetic and some of that was questionable. It's no secret Dave is incredibly jealous of his old band and rarely has anything good to say. Even the biggest Metallica fanboy has to admit their latest effort is just plain boring.
