I think three of his four seasons at BYU ended in leg/foot injuries. In his last abortive collegiate season, people were running him down from behind who never would have caught him but for the cumulative effect of all his injuries. It appeared he’d lost most of the speed that made him such a dynamic player. That’s why I’m happy to see him, fully recovered, in the NFL, even if it’s as a role player.

Good arm atret, avg accuray at best, elite athltism, elite competitor, elite toughness. Played an entire NFL game with a broken finger on his throwing hand.... Damn!!! Nobody questions his heart and can play any position on the field one of the great athletes of his era...
