This actually saved my butt on a vacation just this last week.
I run Plex on my Synology 423+ and it crashed when I was 7 states away right before the big trip home (3 kids who were gonna be watching some new dvds I just ripped to it).

I never set up quick connect, but I did have it in HA, so I could reboot it remotely. I was back up and downloading episodes of Bluey within 5 minutes.

Be careful: they randomly remove functions from their NAS (they made a major, incompatible switch with the photo software - and they removed video station and HEIC/H265 recoding), hate that!

The Ryzen processor in the 923+ does not have any integrated graphics, and therefore, it will struggle with Plex transcoding. Will work fine for native video if the client supports it.

I just bought a DS214. I don't really need more than that since it's just my wife and I with our Android phones, one all-in-one PC that only runs about once a week, a thin client PC running HA, a pi running PiCorePlayer and backups of my WLED units. That's it.
