I went from CD player to Mini disc in highschool. People would always be like "what the F is that a tape player?" and they would criticize me about it. I'd have to show off that it can skip songs just like a CD player. But hold way more songs per tape and it was way more compact.

Boombox? Also Apple is terrible for music. Plenty of hifi options if you want better quality and plenty of cheaper and more useful alternatives if you like that quality.

What? The iPod came out in 2001. Creative and others had mp3 players prior. Terrible representation.
