The problem I have with Adam's Google comparison to Apple is that Apple's stock split happened in the middle of a very strong bull rally while Google's is happening in the middle of a correction. Totally different market sentiment.

Google’s main revenue comes from its search engine ads and also on YouTube. I dont think there’s much competition on par with YouTube, maybe apps like tiktok or Instagram etc, but YouTube is honestly here to stay for ~3-5 years

Expensive or not I went ahead and bought one share. I am a procrastinator so if I don’t buy it now I will find excuses not to buy it. I plan to keep it for 10 years plus so I don’t care which price I buy it at.

guru, the discount rate used in the calculator is only 6.3%, which is very low compared to market average of 10%. this bumps up the intrinsic value of each share, giving less margin of safety. Grateful for any insights why a lesser discount rate is used!
