You missed a very rare unique detail, on the pacific mission with the flamethrower sometimes (albeit rarely) the soldier who are burned instead of saying "fire!" or "hot!" in Japanese they will use Indonesian because some of the soldiers are Heiho soldiers (forced conscripts)

In the Mission "eviction" if you wait a little bit before you attack the first german soldiers, you can hear how they are talking about the bad situation they are in and the plan to flood the Metro system, because they think the soviets could use the Metro system as a way to reach the Königsplatz

The "Grim Reaper" Blood splatter is found a lot in Zombies during WaW and Black Ops 1 and has lore links to it, where the first people who were infected 115 got executed by 935 for trying to escape, not following orders or have turned to Zombies

Fun fact: the guy who put the raygun in as an ester egg almost got fired because of doing it, crazy to think that something so iconic almost got a legend fired

Another interesting detail in that first mission you mentioned is that some of the "Japanese" troops are actually Indonesian and even speak Indonesian when they attack you or when you kill them.

There's actually another detail pertaining to your choice of either shooting, burning, or leaving those nazis before you enter the subway. At the start of the mission "Downfall", Reznov will read a passage from Chernov's journal that will either assess Dimitri, the player character, as either positive, negative, or somewhere in the middle, depending on what choice you make. Definitely one of my favorite details. I remember the first time I got a different assessment. I was totally surprised & impressed. WAW is a masterpiece.

In the Vendetta mission, when you and Reznov are finished sniping the Germans, you can head to the back of the fountain and find the Soviet Soldier raising his head is now gone. Cool Detail I found while playing.

Also in Breaking Point, you can see some of the Japanese Soldiers are wearing older uniforms, most notably the ones wearing peaked caps, they are not present in any other of the other Pacific Theatre missions.

On Little Resistance there is also another bunker on the left that if you go in it, you'll see a Japanese soldier pull the pin on a grenade and blow himself up, opting to die with honor rather than be captured, or he has seen way too much

Since the day this work of art was given to us it has been my favorite Call of Duty. No other game has matched how great of an experience I had playing that story for the first time.

Another thing about the Black Cats mission, you can actually see that it's brighter at the end of the mission than it is in the start, because the sun is rising. Apparently, this was actually quite the difficult thing to do in the World at War engine.

Easily the best cod imo. Had the best memories playing this game with my brother. Fantastic and realistic story, split screen multiplayer and coop zombies, man this game was every 2000s kids dream. Aahh take me back 🤧

One cool detail you missed in Little Residence is a unique animation just before you assault the large building torwards the end of the level. There is a line of US troops taking cover and one of them has their helmets shot off, which they then scramble to put back on. Only rescently found it myself.

It's remember to know historical context. World at War used to be underated because it was "another WW2" game at the time, when market was full of them and there was many CoDs from WW2 before except first modern warfare that finally changed formula and blew everyones mind. So people were really... frustrated and indifferent at time for another WW2 shooter, that's why nobody apraciated it at the time, but it was crafted masterfully. Not like Last 2 WW2 jokes from CoD frenchise.

Another fun little detail on little resistance is that you can infact use the ray gun to destroy the tanks rather than having to call in a rocket barrage

For 5:09, I believe it was probably the original way Dmitri was supposed to find out about the officer and decide whether or not to assassinate him. Before Reznov was even an idea, possibly. The devs likely just forgot the trigger was still in the game and didn’t remove it.

Not sure if you mentioned it before but in regards to the german prisoners you can choose to kill or not… In the final mission intro, Chernov will read his journal to the player and will show the player that He has been watching you the whole time too. If you have shown yourself to be cruel and execute prisoners, he would call the player out for being as blood thirsty as the enemies you kill. But if you show mercy, he would write about how you are a true hero. If you kill some but spare others, Chernov will write about how he’s confused by the player

The co-op campaign on World at War was a blast to play. At the end of the Berlin campaign, a pillar fell on one of my team-mates and we had to restart the level after laughing for about ten minutes straight.

Another important detail is about rescuing injured soldiers in Black cats. If you save them, the crew will say good things about you at the end of the mission. But if you don't, they don't seem to like you very much

I remember playing competitive mode on 3:19 and saw this group of People run to the left side I was like "What the hell are they doin?" So I continued playing the Mission then I hear the raygun noises and green puffs of plasma gas.

My first thought was "Oh nah this must be a hack or something " then they lead me over to the Statues and gave me a raygun.

Mind you I was like probably 11 or 12 and seeing this for the first time blew my mind

I noticed in CoD MW2 Remastered the mission where you start out in the bunker during the US invasion, in the main room there is a white board with soldiers names and their current status. You can find some of the named soldiers in the bunker being injured and their names on the board with the same designation WIA. This may occur in the classic version as well.
