Simplifying MariaDB Setup and Administration on Unraid

MariaDB is a community-developed, commercially supported fork of the MySQL relational database management system, intended to remain free and open-source software under the GNU General Public License.

We will show you how to install it on Unraid using Docker and use the tool Adminer to manage and administer it using a frontend GUI.

Finally, we'll show you how to change skins for Adminer to change its appearance.

Great video, thank you for the work! One quick tip that I got stuck on... when logging into the database, I was having issues using the ip:port under the "server" field. Rather, I was able to get into my database by entering the docker container name under the "server" field of adminer. Hope this helps someone!

Please help me, I've been stuck at this for days.
First I tried to install nextcloud then heard I should install mariadb first, a lot of the videos I watched were old so what I'm dealing with is a little different.
My current problem is I can't access anything in MariaDB, I go to nextcloud and try to create an Admin Account and with connected database, but I get a Access Denied message.
Same thing in this tutorial, whenever I try to login to the mariaDB server through adminer I get the same Access Denied message!

What should I do?

Im unable to login under root, or create a database. I always get ACCESS DENIED. i KNOW i am using the right root password
