THE DARK SIDE OF SUNGLASSES - When you should and shouldn't wear them!

I know the information in this video is something that surprises us.
After all, we’ve been told our whole lives to wear sunglasses to protect our eyes.
In this video, you will also learn the differences also between eyeglass lenses and about contact lenses that are blocking the UV you want in your eyes.

But yes, you heard it right….I am discussing why you shouldn't wear sunglasses as a habit when outside.
Many of us wear sunglasses to protect our eyes from the sun, to look cool or as a fashion statement, but have you ever thought about the negative consequences of wearing sunglasses?
Here I will be highlighting the reasons why you shouldn't wear sunglasses, and when it actually is appropriate to wear them.

I just saw my ophthalmologist a couple days ago. I’m almost 70 and in really good health overall. He said I have perfect eye health with 20/20 vision and no cataracts however I really should start wearing sunglasses to prevent getting them, especially at my age ( I hate when they judge me because of my age) I’ve never worn sunglasses because I feel depressed when I do. I’m so happy I found your channel because this makes perfect sense to me! Thank you so much for your valuable content 🙏

Fantastic information. I heard similar message from a doctor from southern India 🇮🇳 about ten years ago. I applied what he said and I almost never get sunburned anymore. I live on Florida and try to limit my time to less than 4 hour of direct sun on skin especially during the southern months. I should mention I almost never wear any sunscreen unless out more than 3 hours. Hats and long sleeve shirts I use after two hours typically.

Another huge factor that probably needs more study is Mental health issues related to lack of eye exposure to sun light rays. ???

Personally, when I get my 30-60min outdoor walk vs indoor walk I can tell a huge difference in my mood. I average 4 miles per day. When rainy indoors is choice.

I’ve heard of more depression in countries with less regular sunlight.

Big pharma has their hand in everything. If they pedal it, 98% corrupt.

The further we get from nature, the more unhealthy we become.

A bit of a review:
18:50 “No sunglasses on when you are trying to get your hour of outdoor time.”
27:40 “There are definitely times when you should be wearing your sunglasses. (snow, water, biking, flying airplane, driving a car, fishing, farming)
35:35 “Without the outside our health suffers . . . go outside, outside, outside! Without the outside our health suffers, both metabolism, immunity, hormones . . . mood boosting”

I completely surprised my eye Dr. this year with my eye exam. Over the last 2 years my prescription has improved. Im near sighted, so my left eye has improved by .75, almost a whole number. My right eye has improved by .5. It is all because I spend more time outdoors getting direct sunlight in my eyes and by looking at things very far away. I have also slowly adopted a carnivore lifestyle this year. Love what you do, thank you, the Universe works in amazing ways. God bless 🙏

Love it! I've definitely worn sunglasses all my life and I do notice when I take them off I can barely open my eyes and they get whole watery and sometimes feel like they're forced to shut. Not good! I have no doubt you are correct! My mom has cancer on her eyes and my dad has cancer on his head but both of their diets are horrific. You're just speaking logic! If I go higher carb I stay out of the sun more, but when I'm zero carb, I have no fear! Thank you again for speaking truth and you have so much credibility in this subject especially!

The sun always helped with my depression. My mom used to call me a lizard because I loved to sunbathe. I also hated sunglasses.

What you are saying makes so much sense when you think about it. Problem is these days people just take what they hear as fact and go with that.

Honey thank ypu so much, do not mind people attacking you, it should not be your problem, you are merely the messenger, send by the Devine.
I think your message is very clear, and you are awesome.

I use to wear sunglasses in my teens and have given them up mostly since i found it easier to read outside in normal daylight. I also regularly spend much time outside in direct sunlight. When i realized how deficient i was in vitamin D i started spending more time in direct sunlight. Doing this increased my vitamin D as well as cure my depression and make it easier for me to sleep at night. Also my eyes have improved by reading outside more and not straining by looking at small print in low inside light conditions.

My vision isn’t perfect but I don’t have vision problems some people my age have. I don’t wear any glasses

Something I noticed as I got older and tended to stay more in doors was the light sensitivity, so outdoors I wore sunglasses, more often than not. But I kept thinking I have sheltered my eyes for long periods from the daylight by being indoors too much, so outside seem overly bright, but tbh it's just natural daylight and I had spent a lot of time in unnatural light. So I do my best to not wear sunglasses much these days and enjoy the daylight and absorb those beautiful rays of sunshine.

Thank you for great advice and truth. I suffer eye migraine and I decided to stop wearing sunglasses a few years ago because my eyes became too sensitive to light. Not wearing sunglasses has lessened greatly my sensitivity and less migraines.

Hello doctor! I was wondering if you have instructions for people with light sensitivity and astigmatisms? I'm very sensitive to light which makes me want to hide my eyes more and more from the sun. I have been carnivore for almost a year and a half now but I haven't noticed it effecting my eye sensitivity. I have also been attempting to get some sunlight in my eyes in the morning for improved thyroid preformance but I'm still having the sun/light sensitivity helping trigger migraines. Any advice I can start to try would be so helpful -Thank you for you work!

Thank you for the why's! I'm one who has been behind my jackie Os since my 20s. Lately, I no longer wear them all the time, I know I need to have them checked and will do, but readers for now. Then, heard you recommend not using them in the mornings, and have been working at this. I walk my dog early and look forward to sunrise walks on the weekends. I do protect eyes and hair between 11a-2p. I do feel better! So thank you.
And, haters gonna hate, so don't mind them.
