Now working as a partner under Loess, I was the original designer at Shopify who had worked on the release of Dawn, so it's very cool for me to see here all the appreciation for that theme!!! Archetype could have sponsored this video ;) Recently "Be Yours" theme has caught my attention, I'm eager to try it in "real conditions" and inspect the code to see if it's worth a shot. Currently I also use Dawn or an Archtype theme as a base, seems like we all agree they're very solid options. And it's also safe to say: stay away from themeforest themes (for merchants with limited budget it's tempting to consider given the price tag / features, but even if they were free I would advise against). Cool video format btw, nice to follow your journey!

I am looking for a theme that is good for a blog and a site to be the face of my YouTube channel, I know it is counter intuitive that I consider Shopify but I am planning to sell digital products and Shopify makes such work scalable

I can't stand impulse! it's slow, it's not very friendly to me compared to dawn.
the features are great don't get me wrong it's just really messy to me and hard to find the places to change styling, sections.
