How to Build Spring-Jumping Stilts From Scratch!? (New and Improved!!)

This is a continuation of a project that I uploaded a little while back. I upgraded my all-steel jump stilts to these awesome units! These stilts allow you to run extra fast, and jump extra high, with the help of fiberglass vehicular leaf springs that retain energy and rebound the user upon impact with the ground!

Maybe incorporate a pair of motocross boots, they typically have shin, ankle and arch support built in.

better than the last version. I would add a plastic bushing in the hole you drilled through the bottom of the spring, just to help nullify some rubbing that the bolt could be doing to the fibers of the spring, which could maybe cause some delamination or splitting.

Are there any other options for the spring part that would be effective if I can't find leaf springs? I want to try this but I always have an almost impossibly tight budget so I like being able to substitute what I can for cheap or scrap materials.
