Recently bought the Klipsch Fives and followed the instructions to update the firmware "to the T". The Klpisch updater app shows the firware being updated. However the Klipsch Connect App is not connecting to the Fives. I "forgot"and re-"paired" the speakers, still not working. I deleted and downloaded the Klipsch app and tried re-paring again, no luck. The updater app is showing that the device is already updated. I did a factory reset and it is still not working. The speakers connect using bluetooth and music plays, but I am not able to use features of the app.



Since it is not pairing, I am not able to use the full functionality like the graphic equaliser etc. Please help. Thanks.

Does anyone have a problem using the connect app?
I did update the Fives using the updater. Confirmed it was ok.

I open Connect, and the app finds the Fives. I press ok. It says searching, connecting and connected.
After that I get an error message: "Whoops! It looks like we cannot communicate" etc.
I tried powering the speakers off/on, removed/adding the speakers on my iPhone.
Latest IOS, latest version of the app.

Mine just won't do blinking order of lights (updating), I tried 4 different USB drives (4, 4, 8 and 32 GB) and neither works with The Fives McLaren Edition :(.

This is game changing because the only thing that was keeping me from getting these was inability to adjust bass. Have been too worried about my rental contract 😜 Now with this update I'll only have myself to blame for losing my rental contract, not Klipsch!

Ofc i did update it and now it cant connect to klipsch connect app. Says that have to redone step 1, but fives update app says that update is done and cant do it again :D

I just returned (2 pairs) of The Fives back to Klipsch. Performing this exact upgrade procedure bricks the unit permanently. The support said that they are having issues with their latest version of Klipsch connect app. Until it is fixed, just use BT only and do not upgrade or use Klipsch connect app. I just gave up and sent the equipment back, waiting for a refund.

The connect app didn't work at the beginning - so I updated firmware successfully. The updater app worked, the speakers works with Bluetooth but no change with the connect app after the update it's just say connecting and fails after a while

How well is the App working now? I read the hardware and software of these speakers have a lot problems. Always disconnect, reset or turn off etc. Are these issues still there? Does the app and the eq work fine?

Hi Joe. How do they sound after the update? Heard complaints of boomy bass. The Fives are currently on sale for $499 at Costco. Will you say they are a better buy than the Vanatoo's T1E's. My use case is an apartment living room (medium sized). I generally like a balanced sound. Currently own the Fluance ai40's and looking to upgrade. Will be great to get your thoughts on this.
