As host of CNN's "GPS," Fareed Zakaria dives into global issues with scholars, presidents, and the occasional celebrity. An optimist, Zakaria is nonetheless concerned about what he characterizes as a darkness in America brought on by people "who feel that they are not benefiting from all the changes in society." He talks with "Sunday Morning" contributor Kelefa Sanneh about his new book, "Age of Revolutions," in which he writes about how societies both embrace change and resist it.

"CBS News Sunday Morning" features stories on the arts, music, nature, entertainment, sports, history, science and Americana, and highlights unique human accomplishments and achievements. Check local listings for CBS News Sunday Morning broadcast times.

Fareed and Medhi are national treasures, just sayin'. We need more immigration ... we just have to fix a broken system ... because people like Fareed make our country stronger, and smarter.

The choice is obvious, as one is running for POTUS, while the other is running from his responsibilities.

It was fun to sit in my Dad's elegant Western Kansas living room and watch this gentleman. Cool minded. We contemplated, 3 times more careful.

It's good news to me, when I learn my President seeks out input from others knowledgeable in different topics, especially those outside of their immediate circle

4:48 "Thier world is going away". To me, this is one of the biggest factors that drives the “MAGA” crowd. I use to live in a semi rural area when I was growing up. That world that I grew up in is fading away at an exponential rate. The MAGA crowd don't see themselves fitting into the new world that is evolving. I'm not making making an excuse for the MAGA crowd, but I do think, on a subconcious level, that is what scares them the most.

I don't necessarily agree with his opinion and politics, but his writing style is extraordinary. I remember getting subscribed to Newsweek just to read his column.

Don't fear uncertainty. Embrace it. Thrive in it. Or else someone will.

I"m so disappointed that half of his "GPS' show yesterday was a self serving advert for his new book. Did you notice that the cover has his name boldy highlighted while the title is in smaller print? Yuck. I'm signing off from his show for a while, maybe forever.

The war against Iraq was adopted whole heartedly by the Ashkenazi who are the strongest group in history and the world and Zakaria had to align himself with tgem as many did!
