My dad never cared he had all girls. He still signed us up for karate with him or bought me comic books he loved for us. He tried to share his interests with us, and while he wasn’t perfect at fully understanding us (my dad is very masculine but not toxic, just a little confused) he still did stuff like try to play Barbie’s or listen to me talk about my sims (and chewed my mother out for accidentally deleting my game after I cried lmao) my grandpas also really seemed to enjoy us (poppy even got his ear pierced with me!) so it’s so sad to see other girls have no positive male figures who enjoy them.

A couple of friends had a gender reveal party with rainbow cupcakes and a sign that said, "Who the F*** cares, it's a baby!!!" and I loved them even more for that.

There was this one gender reveal video I saw where the girl made a cake for them to cut, it was decorated with berries, and when the guy cut it. It was green. And she instantly started crying and apologizing while he was kind and comforted her. After a bit, he was like "Here, I'll close my eyes, you put a strawberry in my mouth if it's a girl or a blueberry if it's a boy" and she put a blueberry in his mouth, and he got SO EXCITED!! it was the cutest thing, you just reminded me of it

Our gender reveal was during our ultrasound. The tech asked if we wanted to know the gender, we said yes, she said it was a girl, we said cool.

my favorite gender reveal will forever be the woman that popped a balloon but then nothing came out and then the grandma (i’m assuming) threw her wig off to reveal another bright blue wig under it 😭😭 the only valid gender reveal tbh

the worst part is that the woman who invented them made it to celebrate her daughter coming to term, becasuse she had suffered multiple misscarriages and so it was a celebration of the fact that the child was succending to the point that they could get a determined reveal of the child's gender rather than celebrating the gender itself. and the fact that she regrets inventing them hurts me so much becasue this celebration for her is now a horror story of wildfires, destruction, and parents and family having meltdowns because the child isnt the gender they want (and then they have another meltdown when the child comes out as trans/non binary)

Majority of my family has girls, and it’s considered a “rarity” for someone in my family to have a boy. When my sister got pregnant, my dad kept telling my brother-in-law “hope you made it a boy!” We now know she is going to have a girl. It makes all of the younger members of my family uncomfortable hearing the older folks freak out over the chromosomes of the newest family member.

I also grew up hearing my dad complain about have four daughters and no sons. When I found out I am not cisgender, I would hint at it and my dad would flip out. Old man, do you want a son or not?

At my last job, on my last day, I had to be polite while someone told me "it's just different with boys!" and claimed her infant grandson was just very wildly different than her granddaughters.

He's a baby. He can't even lift his head yet. And you just had another granddaughter, but you only ever talk about your grandson. This isn't how he's just different from your granddaughters. It's about your valuing boys more than girls.

When my mother told my father that she was pregnant with me (second child) he went to the balcony and thought about jumping.... I was told this story by my grandmother when I was 11....

If you can't handle the possibility of having a child that doesn't exactly conform to your expectations for them, you do not deserve a child. You need to be sent to therapy and kept AWAY from small children.

My sister has two girls and one step-son with her husband. She's said multiple times that she's done with having children, but her husband wants a boy. Literally everyone is mad at him because he already has a boy 😤🥲
