Vianna Stibal is the founder of Theta Healing, a controversial healing modality that now features 500,000 practitioners around the world. Amidst its success, Theta Healing also faced some controversy. And Vianna herself, is willing to share how she faced the said controversy.

So all of its success, Theta healing hasn't been without its controversy. In a recent lawsuit brought on by a former student of Viana's, the court was not sure how to deal with claims that God can heal people, as Viana believes, and she states in all her courses and very publicly, Viana has also experienced it 1000s of times, this particular case did not address the effectiveness of Theta Healing. And the court made no rulings in that regard. And although Vaiana hasn't spoken publicly about this particular case, I was interested in asking her about it and how she's handling it.

It mostly was about a contract about somebody who took the class and, and somebody who wanted their money back because of rumors that an ex daughter in law started because she was pretty angry at my son, I kind of really unfair shake up be told I didn't have the right to believe that God healed my leg and actually teach that, which was, I believe, a wrong answer. So does my attorney and so does my attorney for my you know, legal rights. So it's, it's coming down. So it's going through appeal, and I might have to take it for another appeal. But I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to believe that God healed my leg. And I'm hoping that this all comes out. Okay, so that people that believe in healing or believe that and God don't have to be a religion. You know, if I say healing isn't a religion. And I would like it to be so that we have a right to believe what we want to believe you know, there. I think that healers have rights. And I think that whatever comes out of whatever happens that we'll be able to change the way the world thinks about healing because healers have rights people have rights to be who they are.
