Opis:
Jest rok 2014. Miszko i Lew są kolegami z jednej wsi, którzy służą na trałowcu „Czerkasy” należącym do marynarki wojennej Ukrainy. Stacjonują w porcie krymskiego jeziora Donuzław połączonego z Morzem Czarnym. Kiedy rozpoczyna się inwazja Krymu przez „zielone ludziki”, a prezydent Janukowycz ucieka z kraju, „Czerkasy” wraz z innymi statkami floty ukraińskiej zostaje zablokowany na jeziorze. Kolejne ukraińskie statki poddają się Rosjanom, jedynie załoga trałowca „Czerkasy” stawia opór. Tymczasem Rosjanie przygotowują się do szturmu trałowca. Marynarze muszą podjąć decyzję czy bronić się za wszelką cenę i do końca. Oparta na prawdziwych wydarzeniach historia ostatniej jednostki na Krymie, która pływała pod ukraińską banderą.

Reżyser: Tymur Yashchenko
Reżyser filmowy. Urodził się w 1985 roku w Czerkasach na Ukrainie. Ukończył prawo na Czerkaskim Uniwersytecie Narodowym im. Bohdana Chmielnickiego. Później przeprowadził się do Kijowa, gdzie zrealizował swój pierwszy krótki film. W latach 2007-2009 w Sztokholmie studiował produkcję w szkole artystycznej Kulturama i rozwijał projekty dwóch kolejnych krótkich filmów. W 2010 roku rozpoczął studia w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Filmowej, Telewizyjnej i Teatralnej im. L. Schillera w Łodzi na kierunku reżyserii. W 2016 roku wyreżyserował film „Lev” (2016), który jest prologiem do filmu „Cherkasy” (2019). Mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie.

Description:
The year is 2014. Mishko and Lev are fellow villagers serving on the minesweeper “Cherkasy”, a ship of the Ukrainian Navy stationed in the port of the Crimean Lake Donuzlav that is connected to the Black Sea. When the invasion of Crimea by the infamous “little green men” begins and President Yanukovych flees the country, the “Cherkasy” and other ships of the Ukrainian fleet are blocked on the lake. Successive Ukrainian ships surrender to the Russians. Only the crew of the "Cherkasy" decide to resist. Meanwhile, the Russians prepare to attack the minesweeper. The crew have to decide whether to defend themselves at all cost and to the very end. Based on true events, this is a story about the last warship in Crimea to sail under the Ukrainian flag.

Film director, born in the city of Cherkasy in Ukraine in 1985. He holds a law degree from the Cherkasy Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University. Soon after graduation, he moved to Kyiv, where he shot his first short film. In 2007-2009 he resided in Stockholm, studied film production at the Kulturama Art School and implemented projects involving two other short fiction films. In 2010 he enrolled in the Łódź Film School’s film directing course. In 2016 he made the short fiction film “The Lion” (2016), which is a prologue to the film “Cherkasy” (2019). He lives and works in Warsaw.
