I wish Total War worked like this, having the ability to actually *push* units back, and add momentum to an attack by sending in support *without* having them move through the units to fight at the front.

I chose the Mongolians and just did an entire army of horse archers with the exception of 4 blocks which i sent into his horse people

And just spent the entire game running and shooting
