Wild strawberries are about the size of a finger nail but the taste is the essence of strawberry. Truly beautiful well worth looking out for.🍓

Amazing!!! Love strawberries. I’m off to pick my own again tomorrow!! All by myself!! Definitely better straight from the farm. 🍻

You are better off purchasing from a small grower who grows for flavour. Unfortunately supermarkets primary concern is that strawberries have a long shelf life and flavour is secondary. I remember as a child back in the 60s that strawberries were much more flavourful than they are today.

Very good taste test Ian, no surprises with the results to be fair. Think after both you and Postcard have sung the praises of freshly picked we are going to have to go try some! 👍

Here in central Florida is Plant city. They grow the most incredible tasty strawberries. There is even a festival in March the famous Strawberry Festival. We only buy in season. Fun video great job Ian! ~Cara 😊

We love fresh strawberries straight from the farm. It's so hard to get good ones from the store!

I went to Florida in 1973 and had freshly squeezed orange juice from a roadside stand. It tastes completely different than any other orange juice. I don’t think they do roadside stands in Florida any more. I haven’t seen one since then.

Strawberries from the farm will always be more delicious then packaged and transported ones. These aren’t left to ripen naturally. ❤

Picked our own this morning from the garden looking for a double (heavy) cream well. Had my 15 month niece with me she just ate them. Try cherries and Scottish raspberries as well beautiful.

Apparently, fresh picked strawberries are the way to go! And hey, Ian is kind of the antithesis of Drew in this one 😂

For the best of flavour I buy strawberries in season, English/Scottish grown and consume when they’re  at room temperature not chilled.

I notice that strawberries are cheaper in the UK. A little strange because I live less than 100 miles from the Central Valley, the fruit basket of California. My son prefers the strawberries in the UK. Also Raspberries, cut throat prices here, fantastic in the UK.

back when we were kids 60s and didn't know how bad it was for us we would hold the stalk and dip the end into sugar

The best strawberries I’ve had recently are Annabel’s which are sold in Booths supermarkets. The worst I’ve had are Aldi’s Speciality, overly sweet mush with no flavour.

Strawberries are better when sprinkled with a little white pepper.
