🎵I was chosen by Heaven
Say my name when you pray
To the skies
See Carolus rise
With the Lord my protector
Make them bow to my will
To the skies
See Carolus rise🎵
- Sabaton, “Carolus Rex”

Can't be easy being an interim host. Like everybody else I became accustomed to Simon. Thankfully he has about a thousand other channels to watch them on. Karl's doing a great job

“I have resolved never to start an unjust war, but never to end a legitimate one expect by defeating my enemies”

The downfall of the Swedish empire was in large part because while it had a highly skilled army it did not the man power to replace those men. That if and Charles XII had been more flexible

Charles XII's objective consolidating an empire was indeed realized, albeit not in the way he anticipated. The Great Northern War inadvertently propelled Peter the Great and his empire to unprecedented heights while he became an antagonist in the story of Peter the Great.

Napoleon was clearly absent when the class talked about invading Russia in the winter.

I miss Simon not gonna lie, however i was immediately willing to give Karl a chance and have warmed to him greatly, overall brings his own style to hosting and thankfully doesn't try to copy Simon.

When I think of Karl 12 I mostly think of him bringing dolmas to Sweden. Cabbage dolmas, as we make them, since there is a distinct lack of grape leaves here, exist because he liked the dish and brought it back with him. Thank you, Karl, it's delish.

8:41 Would be preferable to have their numerals. Frederick IV and Augustus II.
