I own a Evercade VS. The Exp priced at 150€ costs almost as much as a Nintendo Switch Lite, and I’d personally choose the Nintendo handheld for that price

I love the fact that the iRem collection contains _in the hunt._ That game is basically Metal Slug Zero (same developers, similar gameplay, same gorgeous animations and attention to detail).

Got to say though, that TATE Mode (horizontal to vertical) is a brilliant idea for a modern console. Reminds me so much of Gunpei Yokoi's old _WonderSwan_ consoles that could do the same!

Mini HDMI reminds me of the adapter for psp to the TV on the later models. I actually am still use it. Even though it's flimsy. It's psp on the tv

This has a few decent things that certainly make it more desirable then the previous handheld and as I don’t already own one, I’m kind of interested here. The Irem cart looks great (I love Shmups) and they have a few other decent carts as well. I do like the stuff they put out that isn’t necessarily mainstream plus it supports the Indy developers (when they put those Indy carts out). I’d like a chance to try it out first however.

The indy releases is what gets me. I still haven't bought an evercade, but I plan on it.

Looks like a cross between a Nintendo DS, Lite, PSP Slim, and a Bandai Wonderswan now. Glad I held out on the original handheld :)

I already have the Vs and don't travel much so the handheld isn't for me, but good on Blaze on improving with the new model and the new arcade collections look sweet. I missed out on the Toaplan collections when they got re-released by Strictly Limited and Retro-Bit so this is another chance

I’m torn on this. I play the VS way more than the handheld, so the current handheld fills my needs. It all depends on the extras

Flying Shark is my favorite arcade game ever. Evercade is bought now. Don't know why I waited. In The Hunt, have to have it too.

I'm so happy that we're gonna get an Irem collection. The new handheld was a matter of time. As soon as I realised they are putting PlayStation games on carts, that require L/R 1 and 2, I was expecting handheld with additional buttons. The vertical play option is neat but I don't know if the button layout will be comfortable. Although the handheld is gonna be bigger than wonderswan and I didn't have a problem with playing it vertically.
Anyway, I'll buy the handheld just to add it to my collection.

Looks interesting, they did have to upgrade the original. The first one felt like they were just testing the waters, they're actually discounting it. My only gripe with this is they put the black version behind a paywall. I'd just prefer the 2 colours available at launch, then if they want to do a collectors edtion in either black or white, that would be a better way of doing it.

With the TATE mode, i hope they'd start moving into more shmups as theres a huge opportunity here.

The previous Evercade handheld looks the best. Love the crystal glass buttons of the original handheld. Also, the new one should have at least had a 5-7 inch screen. Both the new and original have 4.3 inch screens, no point in updating to the new handheld.
