In my book there is written you can´t use disonance on beat 3. Because its second heavy beat in a mesure.

Thanks for the video. Very good content. Doesn't a double neighbor have to use two dissonant notes to be considered a "double neighbor"? you use a 5th on one of the notes in the 2nd bar so is that still a double neighbor?

Approaching the 5th degree by step like you did in your example is a very good goal but isn't this only possible depending on the Cantus that is provided. It may not be possible to do this if your Cantus doesn't allow it...

5ths don't have to be contrary if they're passing?

Aer you supposed to "always" use the 6th degree of the scale at every ending of third and second species or can you get away with out it??

Give us a tutorial in compound time too such as 6/8 or 9/8( 3rd Species) or even simple triple 3/4.

Just one question.. I learn that when we have a counterpoint in one direction, we can't move in one direction and jump higher than a 3rd.. Is that correct? Or is something optional? because i can see in your 4th compass: D, E and C higher.. Thanks for the answer.

You have the outline of a seventh in your melody in your fourth measure (D-C) which was usually prohibited by Fux.

Your video content is all blurry which makes it difficult to figure out what intervals you are talking about..Your understanding of counterpoint species seem legit though..
