Flooding Destroyed 37 Homes in Green River Cove, NC: Amazing & Inspiring Story of Hope

I filmed three videos in Saluda, North Carolina, in June of this year. Little did I know I would be back four months later to document the historical flood that will be remembered for generations. The recovery will take years. See firsthand the devastation of Mother Nature.
Fast Fred's home was lost in the flood, but volunteers from 600 miles away assisted in his recovery. This video is a firsthand account of what happened in the Green River Cove.

All the volunteers.... You are some spectacular people! You are a special breed that when i think of this tragedy you will be the silver lining. The right in what was so wrong! It is something that I had thought was gone but it is alive and well in these mountains ! Tragedy turned into triumph! I dare to say geologically speaking....if this had happened anywhere else the story would not be the same. Humbled and faith restored in our people!

Super video John. I'm so happy for Fast Fred. He now has a place to lay his head. Thank you to the man & his wife who made this possible

This is our county. 😢 My husband had a stroke in 2020. That year on Father's Day, our youngest son took him fishing at Fishtop and I went along and took pictures. I wish I could share them here, so everyone could see what it looked like before. It was such a beautiful spot!

This is so beautiful! Thank you for filming this and debunking nonsense. I would love to help Fred. I have so many beautiful memories from tubing the Cove. It was one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Fred may not realize how many lives he has touched but everyone who was given that gift of experiencing the Green had their lives made better (except one guy who neglected to leave his car keys at the shack - he had a bad day). Thanks to Fred for the ways you have enriched our lives. I know many of us want to help. A month later, I still cannot digest all the damage everywhere. Just unimaginable. I am hopeful we make an incredible new world for the next generation to inherit.

I loved the guy that brought the camper and gave it away, then said he and his wife had a baby at 19, but beat the odds. Americans helping Americans!

Thank you for your humble honest truths. We know nothing of this. As the general public. Watching from Michigan & live on a lake & river. This will help save others by telling your truths! Thank you!

My husband and I always enjoy your videos and this one particularly moved us. Thank you for showcasing the TRUE Spirit of America and not just what our corrupt msm wants us to know.
Great use of your talents! Keep them coming ❤

I live in Taylor County Florida where the eye of hurricane Helene came into the big bend region of Florida. I would have never thought that hurricane Helene would have had such an impact this far north. Here in Florida, the homes along our coastline are 90% destroyed. I live 25 miles inland from the coast. I am so grateful to God my home was spared.
Praying for everyone everywhere. We all need it. Things of this nature will humble you. 😊

IM from Hawaii and this sucks but don't forget. Just because your house was destroyed does not mean anything to the banks, everybody in Maui when their house got burned down got Economic Hardship deferment on their mortgages but its only 16 to 24 months, those months have been up for most people as of last month. So now a lot of people are not only paying rent wherever they are but are now starting to get harrased from the bank about paying their mortgages. So either you got to plan ahead to sell the property if you can or if you are going to keep it just remember whatever they say they don't care in 2 years they will start making you pay again or they will foreclose. Also you got 50 more dollars than we did lol wtf 700 or 750 going to buy? lol I dont want to be a Debbie Downer, but for anyone who lives out there to not forget even as people get their lives settled in a couple years, the banks will rear its ugly head once again. So just be ready for them.
