The Forbidden Love Under The Rain (The Garden of Words - 2013) - [Anime Recap]

Today Meta Anime is going to explain an animated romance drama film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai called The Garden of Words (言の葉の庭 - Kotonoha no Niwa).

On a rainy morning in Tokyo, Takao Akizuki, an aspiring shoemaker, decides to skip class to sketch designs in a beautiful garden. This is where he meets Yukari Yukino, a beautiful yet mysterious woman, for the very first time. Offering to make her new shoes, Takao continues to meet with Yukari throughout the rainy season, and without even realizing it, the two are able to alleviate the worries hidden in their hearts just by being with each other. However, their personal struggles have not disappeared completely, and as the end of the rainy season approaches, their relationship will be put to the test.

I think if movies like these are shown to teenagers (despite the obvious) it would really help with their personality based on how even though they voiced their feelings they still carried on with their lives..and they survived.

I was discussing anime with my roommate, and i set her a challenge.
Name ONE American made animated romance.
Series OR movie, and a REAL romance, with real people, no talking animals, no musical set pieces, no childish comedy.
I've studied the history of animation, and I am unaware of any such film.
