The scene at the end of the trailer on the beach originally had no dialogue in the game, which suggests they are adding content, or at least wrapping up some of the loose ends. The new models and face details look really nice. I'm so happy people will be able to play this masterpiece!

One MAJOR thing is that its confirmed to have additional content and the og xeno X ended on a massive cliffhanger with this dude on a beach and guess what we see in the trailer? Damn straight no more cliffhanger 😎 So excited. This is basically xenoblade X remastered with never released story content.

EXPLORATION is the name of the game. If you're about to play this for the first time, please be aware that the storyline isn't by any means bad, but don't expect those emotional narrative hooks that the mainline trilogy brings. What you will have a lot of fun doing, is the sheer exploration of the game. Every hexagon on the map has some designated task to complete-- a quest, a boss to defeat, some great treasure to find, a new playable character to build affinity with, all that stuff. Mira is roughly 550 square kilometers large (albeit a lot of ocean), but Breath of the Wild's Hyrule map was designed by most of the same designers of this game. Go out, and have fun.

ALSO: The soundtrack is by Hiroyuki Sawano, and it is still one of the best I've ever got addicted to listening to.

ALSO ALSO: Just for clarification-- X (pronounced Cross btw) is not part of the main trilogy's timeline. Elma's DLC appearance in XC2 is actually explained away by the Great Nopon Sage bringing her to Alrest while she's still experiencing a combat simulation on Mira, and is using time dilation so that one full year is only a few minutes for her. Enjoy the game for what it is.

Funny enough, I actually bought both Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Xenoblade Chronicles X in anticipation of getting a Wii U. I never ended up getting a Wii U and now both of those games are on the Switch. I suppose I'll keep the Wii U versions (still in the plastic wrap) as collector's items.

XCX is by FAR my favorite game in the series. I love the freedom you're given in the game. The world is beautiful. The combat is a ton of fun. You will lose yourself in this game. There is so much to see and do and find. In terms of progression it's a lot different from the numbered XC games, this one is truly open world. I cannot recommend this game enough, buy it, it is so good. I hope so much they make XCX2 because this game deserves it.

When I tell you I jumped like I heard a gunshot when I saw the trailer notification on my phone. I played this last year and it took over my LIFE for months. I am a Xenoblade über fan, and having another release that BUILDS on the ending… I LOVE BEING ALIVE.

Also, if they remade Gears and fleshed out disc two and did the story better towards the end, I think Monolith would make a plain greater than heaven.

If anybody is reading this and isn’t sure about XCX, it is a huge breath of fresh air, it’s an EXTREEEEMELY exploration heavy title, while the other games are also very exploration heavy, they’re also story heavy. But X gives you different methods of exploration, the world is very connected, huge open areas connected by very few loading zones, but you get to pilot and customize mechs (Skells) and they turn into vehicles like Transformers and you eventually get to FLY and WHEN I TELL YOU, when you get access to flight, it is the most breathtaking Xenoblade experience, seeing an already massive world from way up high and being able to go literally WHEREVER you want.

Also that’s not to say that the story was not interesting, because it was very engaging and beautiful. Thank you Monolithsoft, once again you prove to be the saving grace of the last 25 years. Unreal 😭

I played over 500 hours of it. Still is one of the best open world maps to slowly explore as you get the mech (skell in the game) and as you get the flyght licence, slow but very impressive and rewarding back in the day.
I hope they ad some quality of life and extra story ☄️

Would be cool if the upcoming system was called the “Nintendo Everything”, and their goal was to bring every game that ever appeared on a Nintendo system to the NE, either through Nintendo Online subscription or through rereleases and remasters.

Best exploration in the series, worst story but it is kindof designed that way. I really enjoyed the game!
