If you want a nice quick way to fade the clip / audio - click 'Timeline display settings' (the little wrench button on your timeline) and select show video keyframes (or audio). It'll add keyframes to your clip, press cmd + mouseclick on the line on your clip to add a new keyframe and drag it down to zero to lower te opacity to black! Add another keyframe for a gradual fade 😆

Is there a way to set it so "center at cut" is the default? Its really annoying to have to change it every time.

And you can mess with the "show actual sources" and slider bar underneath the green B page if you want it to fade to black and stay black like i did. Thanks for the help king
