WAR THUNDER MESSED UP BIG TIME WITH THE BMP-2M

The BMP-2M in War Thunder got a Buff! That's right, one of the most OP Tanks in War Thunder has gotten access to an APFSDS round or as it's shown APDS-FS!

The BMP-2M already has Tandem ATGM's with 1200mm of penetration, a 30mm cannon with APDS rounds, a machinegun and EVEN a Grenade Launcher. It has Gen.2 Thermals, full stabilised and is really fast! Although the APFSDS was added to the BMP2M's arsenal it was moved up to 9.3!

The BMP-2M Buff comes with player feedback that it's one of the most menacing IFV's in the game. However, moving this vehicle up to 9.3 could make it even stronger than it was before due to the fact there is less side armour.

For now, it's hard to tell how the BMP2M will perform with the APFSDS Buff but only time will tell.

Gaijin's fantasy world: BMP2M has a fully stabilized cannon that shoots APFSDS, has gen 2 thermals and gen 3 NV, has ATGMs, automatic grenade launcher and moves at neckbreaking speeds. Basically an elusive intangible avenger that can act as MBT, IFV, APC and recon.

Reality: goes into battle with 30mm non stabilized cannon only. shoots HEI and HET rounds. has no thermals, often no radio and only gen 1 night vision if lucky. After first shot the barrel aims in the neighboring galaxy and follow up shots are next to impossible. Vehicle is slow on offroad terrain and tracks are extremely vulnerable to damage.

The thing is that the bmp 2m isn’t an ifv that suffers, it was perfectly good with the apds

Due to the BMP2M over performing at its current BR, we at the Gaijin Team have decided to lower it to a much more acceptable BR of 7.7.

Idk . From playing time whit BMP2M and similar russian same gun variants . I can say that even the regular AP can kill everything by side .
