She would quite literally turn a Resident Evil knife only run into a survival horror for the zombies with that collection.

me: there's no way a person could talk about knives for an hour straight and keep it interesting.

Im 10000% down with Susu knife review. As a knife enthusiast im incredibly impressed with your collection and presentation style! Consider looking into a top down camera to show any of the details on the knife you want to emphasize

I love how detailed and un-rushed this is. We can really feel how much you love the hobby.

This video is evidence that you actually read our comments, and it is very appreciated. Now, what I love about the video.

You at no time claim to be an expert. Thats outstanding! So many online reviews are full of self proclaimed experts that come off as pompous and obnoxious. You come of as an enthusiast. You have clearly done your research and are humble enough to state your prefrences without throwing alot of tech jargon that nobody understands.

You also dont speak poorly of knives that are not your preferance. I enjoy your ability to appreciate things for what they are. And you also speak of aesthetics. Many knife enthusiasts dont lend their "expert opinion" to how a blade looks because they feel they are above such trivial things.

The way a weapon looks to its owner matters. If you like how it looks, you will look at it more, carry it more, train with it more etc.

Thank you for doing this! I never realized the Cold Steel OSS was double edged. I must have it! I enjoy your content, and REALLY enjoyed this one. I would love if you would do one of these every 10 knives you aquire or so!

I've always admired people who have collections of something, whatever it is, because whatever they collect or the size of their collection, you can see their passion when talking about their collections, it's not just looking for the object like a knife, or a toy or a figure, but they get fully into the subject and absorb a lot of information, and it is never boring to talk with that type of person because you can see their passion when talking about that topic or of their collections without mentioning the amount of information they have about them (like susu here). I have never collected anything but I tend to accumulate things, it's not the same I know, but I think it reflects my trash personality compared to the personality of people who want to collect something lol.

That handle material on the Bark River, as well as others, is micarta. Cool layering process. Amazing collection, I'd love to see more videos. New knife reviews would be cool too.

A long ass seax knife would be a great addition to this collection. They have such a cool distinct blade shape.

Cover to cover, top to bottom, this is the kind of long format content that I love to see, where someone enthusiastically gushes about a topic that they're excited and passionate about and shares their experience and expertise with others, never talking down or gatekeeping their past time, but inviting others to come a long with them for a fun trip, love love love this, please do more about anything you can talk about for more than an hour, also, just a side note NICE FUCKIN NAILS SUSU! You forgot to list those in your arsenal. ❤️

18:38 tbh, i dont think its small. its average at worst. some might even consider that above average. also its more about how you use the knife, ya know.. not just how long it is.

Ah, that was a great tour! I've had some previous coworkers and friends who were really into a SpyderCo multitool, which I think was discontinued and difficult to source, so they tended to take meticulous care of them as I recall despite some of their minor deficiencies, they were very well liked. I don't EDC anymore (other than a keyring multitool which has a blade which isn't good for much more than box cutting, but has some useful screwdriver angles and a bottle cap opener and such and is small and innocuous enough that I've never had TSA take a second look at it [it looks like a key when clipped] not to mention it cost fewer than $10 so even if it were lost or confiscated, no big deal). In my car I keep a Victorinox Swiss Champ in Black which I used to EDC for many years [basically since 7th grade] until security at a Bauhaus concert confiscated it and I was unable to retrieve it after the show. My ex-wife tried to make it up to me with a red Swiss Champ with a clock in the handle which was sorta neat, but just never felt right, and I tried other multitools, but none really ever felt as useful and ingrained to me). My favorite blade is probably a 剃刀 (kamisori) forged by one of the legendary Iwasaki family (one of the 50 or so lineaged families still making katana, though by law I think something like only two can be produced per month post WWII, and in reality for a high quality blade it can take up to a year and a half, a far cry from the short forge times mentioned in Demon Slayer) even though it's not even a tamahagane blade, the shave with it when it is properly honed is better than any other razor I have ever used, and the skill of the craft going into it is remarkable (since such families can only produce and sell a limited number of swords, they continue their craft in other sorts of smaller blades such as that traditional razor which can be produced and sold in greater quantities). Other than Japanese metallurgy, I also find the ꦏꦼꦫꦶꦱ꧀/ꦮꦁꦏꦶꦔꦤ꧀ (Kris) blades of Javanese/Indonesian origin fascinating though I do not own one currently. As described in Magus of Java, they are imbued with mystical properties, have elaborate rites associated with how they are handled, and are typically forged with meteorite ore. There are of course other real, and fictional blades forged with meteorite ore, and in at least one Egyptian instance, reveal iron sources of higher purity than any deposits known of on Earth, which hints at the depths of the cosmic wisdom of the ancient blacksmiths who knew their material sciences so thoroughly even hundreds or thousands of years ago!

I'm a bit envious of your alluded partner, or maybe still mending a broken heart from a gorgeous goth girl in my past who also had a blade fetish, and I gave her a 短刀(tantō) hand forged in blue steel for her birthday many years ago. Alas, I didn't realize it at the time, but in Japanese customs, it is considered that blades should never be gifted to a friend or loved one lest the relationship be symbolically severed, and thus it is customary to insist that the recipient pay a psaltery sum such as 1 yen for a gifted blade. I was unaware of the custom at the time, and that relationship did not last and she still haunts my dreams. Similarly, the Kris blades are never to be sold, they are "wed" to their owners so a dowry is presented for such an exchange. Doubtlessly there are many more rituals and customs regarding blades in other cultures? Or as Monty Python joked: "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony." ;)

Thanks for sharing!

That Ulu is DOPE - Tasha has great taste. The Leek is a classic, love it to bits. Right now my EDC is the Fox Radius, it's got a super unique lock that's fun to fidget with! Also, if you're looking for more fun bowie knife/damascus steel knives for the kitchen, you should check out the Mattia Borrani Bowie Chef. Gifted myself one of those for my new kitchen and it's freaking sweet.

Dang, as a fellow knife I am impressed. Also, the first Benchmade uses Ranger green G-10. G-10 is a synthetic laminate material and you can see the layers of the material if you look real close. The design is from a custom knife maker named Shane Sibert whose custom knives routinely sell for over 1, 000 USD. You did an awesome job introducing the knife collecting hobby to new folks!

Benchmade 940 was my first knife, still one of my favorites. The only two knives I carry more are both Spyderco the Manix 2 and the Paramilitary 2.
