I heard this beautiful melody on music choice, Comcast, Sound Scapes. Didn't catch the name until about a year later. Listening to calm me to sleep. It is such a sweet melody. I purchased The Sunflower Walt CD. Where Rivers Run...I rescue Collies Shelties and Goldens. A few years ago my manager called me to foster a beautiful young Collie that was found on a rock in the middle of thr Ohio River. A man got his boat I to the river and rescued this boy. The day I was going to get him, after 2 weeks in the shelter, owners came forward with a song of b.s. The shelter released him back to them. I was furious, I was ready to go get him anyway necessary. Whatever it took. He had run 40 miles! No dog runs 40 miles without good reason. Fear! I knew he would run again. A week later, I got the call, he had run, back to the man that saved him from the river. Who happened to be a judge and had been quietly investigating the owners. Yes the dog had been extremely abused. No neighbor wanted to testify. The owners were very mean people. I finished my school bus run traveled an hr and half to meet my manager who had picked him up from the shelter. He was totally shut down. Got him into my car and sat with him. Loving him with stroking his soft beautiful hair, whispering to him from then until forever, he would be loved more than he was ever hurt. I made a bed for him into front seat, laid his head in my lap petting him and talking to him all the way home. He was in a big crate with the door open, me sleeping on the floor with my hand touching his paw all night. Teaching him how to eat out of a bowl. How to and where to potty. My Collie fell in love with him and he with her. The rescue would not allow me to adopt him. Broke our 3 hearts. My manager and I decided his name would be River. I never saw him again after he was adopted him in another state. This song reminds me of him. So sweet. He passed recently. My heart still breaks every time I hear this song.

I too found this on Soundscapes, Music Choice. I'm not usually a "Piano Guy", but this caught me off guard and I had to go search for it to find out about the artist. I've added this to my music bookmarks so I can listen to it frequently with a glass of wine before bed. Truly beautiful. Thanks.

Music Choice on my TV when I come home from work and first heard this. After asking Alexa to play Where Rivers Run in the middle of the night when I wake up and can't sleep...I have since been enchanted. This is the most beautiful song ever!!! I listen to zen music on directv each night to sleep for the past few years. Thankfully your song comes on and it gives me such a sense of peace and relaxation. I couldn't pick out any other song that is played, however this song I always recognize to the point that I recorded it with my phone and shared it with my family. SO BEAUTIFUL!!! THANK YOU!
