Perspectives on communicating climate-linked migration | Webinar
Показать описание
As climate impacts worsen, the intersections of climate change and migration are becoming increasingly clear, with some of the world’s most vulnerable communities bearing the brunt of climate change. Despite this, so far, there is little in the way of guidance for how to effectively communicate about climate-linked migration.
How can we engage the public on these intersecting topics in a way that puts people at the heart of the stories we tell and protects the dignity and rights of migrants? What evidence is there for effective narratives and messages so far and what does it mean for communicators in practice?
This webinar we were joined by various organisations communicating at this intersection and different perspectives on the topic.
We heard from:
- Fahmida Miah, Climate Outreach
- Luisa Melloh, Climate Outreach
- Julia Beart, Climate Migration Collaborative
- Innah Gasper, Global Strategic Communications Council
We would like to thank Unbound Philanthropy and the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) for supporting this work.
